Spray Tans!

It's that time of year when we need to bare a little more skin than usual, but our skin isn't quite ready to face the world! I don't want to be getting too many ageing UV rays but love the effect a spray tan and some colour has on my skin and overall mood...

Often you've heard about the spray tan disasters out there, so we wanted to explode some myths and also share with you our after care tips for getting the most out of the tan.

Pre Care

We always recommend that you exfoliate a few times in the week before you have the tan, then exfoliate and apply lots of moisturiser the night before your appointment.

On the morning of your tan, don't moisturise but have a shower to ensure you skin is prepped and ready.

Come to your appointment wearing loose, black clothing and if possible, don't wear a bra or anything that may rub!

During the appointment

During the tanning appointment you can choose to be naked, wear paper pants, or your own pants. You'll be asked to stand in various positions whilst the tan is sprayed onto you, it takes no more than 5 minutes. Once the tan has been applied you'll be dried off with an air blower & left to get dressed.

At home

Leave the tan on for at least 2 hours, but do wash the top layer off before going to bed. Once showered apply plenty of moisturiser.

Your tan will last at least 5 days, especially if you regularly moisturise. Towards the end of the 5 days you can start exfoliating to help remove the tan and ensure it doesn't start going patchy.

We do two shade of tan, a lighter version and a darker version for those wanting a deeper colour. We use and love a brand called Moroccan Tan. It's super natural and also moisturising and doesn't have a strong post tan smell!

Our tans cost £20 and we'd really recommend before a party or pre-holiday to give your skin a boost! Call 01904 629121 or email revive@thebothywellness.co.uk
