We’re so very excited to be launching The Bothy in York on Saturday 12th August…

The Bothy was born out of a shared passion between Amelia and I. Amelia has a passion for skin health & beauty treatments that empower the client. And I have a key interest in nutrition & exercise, believing that beauty and wellness are far more than skin deep - together we’ve decided to create York’s first Beauty and Wellness centre.

ABOUT AMELIA

Over the past 10 years, Amelia has seen the negative affect beauty therapy can have on clients, at times treatments can be mis-sold or can lead to further skin issues. But on the other hand she’s found that by making small changes to the outside, including micro-blading, regular bespoke facials, eyelash lifts and more, her clients can achieve their best skin health & natural beauty.

ABOUT AMANDA

I co-founded York based PapaKåta with my husband, providing luxury tents for parties and weddings across the country. I’ve loved building a business and worked with some fabulous people. However with two children, a business to run and a busy household - I always need to be on top form. I know that by focussing on nutrition, exercise, skin health, sleep & love I can achieve so much more. And I want to help other people do the same!

The Bothy focusses on both beauty and wellness. A place you can come and listen to a talk by a nutritionist, have a restorative facial, luxe manicure, spend time with friends & even purchase nutritional supplements based on your skin issues and desired result.

Finally, we keep getting asked what is a ‘Bothy’? We’ve taken our name from the stone shelters the shepherd’s build on the mountain side to protect themselves from the storm. And we want The Bothy to be your refuge from the storm.
